31-24 AUGUST (excl. 14)
SMIRNOFF UNDERBELLY
12.15PM The Dog-Eared Collective present: BOX OFFICE: 0844 545 8252 ONLINE BOOKING: www.underbelly. FOR MORE INFORMATION: www. Acclaimed comedy troupe THE DOG-EARED COLLECTIVE return to the fringe to unleash their latest sketch comedy smack down BAD DOG VARIETY. The company’s gleefully anarchic style, already likened to ‘The Mighty Boosh’ (Camden New Journal), earned them critical success at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe: The Dog-Eared Collective leaves no pun unspoken, no sigh gag unseen, no entendre left singular in its take no prisoners campaign for laughs... more laughs than any other fringe shows put together.. Gerald Berkowitz, THE STAGE on Barnaby Brown: Orphan Extraordinaire BAD DOG VARIETY is a riotous sketch show where live stunts, comedy and cabaret collide. Join Babs Malloy's Yorkshire & European All-Stars including Signor Love Shark and his puppet Pinky, mystic mind-nester Snaaake and Fantasy Jackson's Sex Gremlin Dungeon Party. An explosive mix of sharp satirical writing & outrageous physical comedy, it’s a dazzlingly deviant sketch show experience. The Dog-Eared Collective will be performing at Smirnoff Underbelly at 12.15pm from 31st to 24th August. Since forming in 2005 The Dog-Eared Collective has performed at theatres, festivals, pubs, clubs, streets and roof tops. This is what them that can write say: “more laughs than any three other fringe shows put together” “The Dog-Eared Collective leaves no pun unspoken, no sight gag unseen, no entendre left singular in its take-no-prisoners campaign for laughs.” “Firmly on the critics' radar. Definitely one to watch” “ * * * * * By far the funniest show I saw at the Edinburgh Fringe this year” “Consistently hilarious...You’ll be in stitches.” “ * * * * The UK-based Dog-Eared Collective wrest us from the artsy-fartsy fringe experience [...] physically adept and perfectly pitched tonally [...] charming even the most reluctant audience into their quaint and whimsical world” “The Dog-Eared Collective revel in a great British tradition: to mock the mad plethora of eccentrics their country appears to be filled with. The Collective pursue a breakneck pace, displaying impressive range across excellent performances. A frivolous, mad-cap and fun night out.” “Absolute gold dust” “Unashamedly whimsical, silly and surreal, very much in the vein of television’s The Mighty Boosh.” “The show moves along at a cracking pace, culminating in the exhilarating anarchy of the barbecue itself.” “real charm, energy and most importantly, laughs.” “A powerful performance, full of energy and dynamism” “Part sketch show, part clown ensemble... Hilarious!” “Genuinely funny, laugh out loud”

_A Deeper UnderstandingCreature Rock is the artistic
side of the music community.
Since arriving in Austin 8 months ago, we have only scratched the surface of Austin's resources. With a vision to cultivate creative collaboration across all media - including dance, videography, fashion design, performance art, and of course, MUSIC, Creature Rock sings to give a voice of self expression to fans and creators alike! That is why it has been such a
huge honor have been a part of
the Media Arts and Literacy
Festival this past week!
We had so much fun performing
on all the different stages in
Austin and never once repeated
a song! And the preparations a
nd community building projects
that led up to the event were
just as rewarding as the
performances themselves.

Fringe 2009 7-31 August
The Chinese State Circus
Welcome to edfringe.com
The 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe has now come to
a close and had many highs and successes despite the downpours, the
credit crunch and ticketing problems with the usual vast array of
shows, venues and bucket-load of awards.
With 1.5 million tickets sold over the course of the festival, (the third consecutive Fringe that the 1.5 million mark has been surpassed) venues popping up across the city ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, and a programme of shows with the full gamut of talent, ambition, and energy, it’s clear that the Edinburgh Festival Fringe remains the worlds largest open arts festival and to many it is considered the Greatest Show On Earth.
But like Christmas, Easter and the football season, as soon as one Fringe is done and dusted another begins to ready itself. So without further ado here’s to the Fringe 2009, which will take place 7-31August.
In the meantime feel free to browse this site which is bursting with info on 2008. Here you can find all of the info on the awards and peruse the reviews and relive your favourite Fringe moments on our Fringe Framed photo gallery. Or why not get chatting on the message boards about this year’s best shows and what might be in store for next year.
Fringe 2008 is over, long live Fringe 2009!
